Rainy Rannoch Games

In spite of the continual rain on Saturday 18 August, Rannoch Highland Gathering went ahead and a small but enthusiastic crowd endured the conditions and enjoyed the spectacle of the games in the Wellerpooley Park.

The childrens' races were the highlight for many as youngsters of all ages took part in the events run by local entertainer Silly McB. The Vale of Atholl Pipe band played to open the games.

There was a very colourful array of dancers, local, Scottish and Canadia, who competed in the Rannoch Highland Gathering, but due to the inclement weather had to be transferred to the Village hall
