Sunshine for Busy Horse Trials

The second day of the Cross Country events drew large crowds under sunny skies at the 2007 Blair Castle Horse Trials

Among the novelty support events in the Bruadar Country Fair Arena was Jumpin' Jake's Farmer Ted Stunt Show. Here familiar farming quad bikes were put through different paces by Farmer Ted and his helper(?) the Cheeky Chicken. Wheelies, two-wheel driving and dare-devil jumps were performed in front on a large appreciative audience, one of whom was even allowed to join in.

In the crowded food tent, where local providers Atholl Glens meats, Blair Atholl Water Mill and Kenmore Bakery were much in evidence, the Bakery's Keith Mitchell reported the event busier so far than last year.

Just why did the chicken wheelie cross the park? Farmer Ted's Cheeky Chicken is pictured during some of its crowd-thrilling stunts on the quad bike.
