On an unremittingly very wet day, the Atholl and Breadalbane Agricultural Show and Highland Games went ahead in Victoria Park and received a surprise drop-in in the persons of Holyrood Minister for Education & Lifelong Learning, Fiona Hyslop, together with other members of Scottish Executive.
The welcome visitation was made “to show support for the farming and local community and that the countryside is still open for business, despite the outbreak of FMD in the South.”
The Government Minister is pictured here by Ian Sadler with David Sturrock and his prizewinning Clydesdale.
Ian's other photo below gives an overview of the soggy games field withthe vintage tractor judging under way. |
